Welcome to the ‘Deep Rest’ retreat in the stunning natural beauty of Aljezur. This retreat is a space for self-discovery, relaxation, and deep reconnection with yourself and nature.

Our Intention

This retreat is an invitation to soften, to exhale, and to reconnect with the natural rhythm that lives within each of us.


In our everyday life, it is often not possible to really feel our bodies and inner voices or to truly listen to them and act in alignment with them for our necessary wellbeing. When our nervous system is calmer, these inner impulses guide us naturally in a wholesome, intelligent way and lead us to where we have the most energy and where we are in our inner strength.


Without stressful structures around us and with fewer stressful thoughts within us, a calmer mind, and deeper relaxation, we can feel more clearly what we need and want. We are able to avoid what our body and spirit refuse, and so we can protect ourselves with healthy boundaries. On the other hand, we gain the capacity to really feel, where our system is opening up, what we would like to invite in, and to set our focus on elevating this energy.

Set in gorgeous nature, our retreat takes place on an eco farm with flower and vegetable gardens, a yoga deck, gorgeous hideaways, and a distant ocean view.

The sound of crickets, the ocean, and a sky full of stars will be your night lullaby. Arrifana Beach is just a 20-minute walk away, where you can surf, visit a cafe, or go for a beach walk.

A place where time slows down, where the only sounds are the rustle of trees, birds singing and the distant sound of the ocean. Imagine waking up with the sunrise and ending the day watching the sunset.

This 7-day/ 6-night transformative retreat offers you a chance to:

What Makes This Retreat Special

The 'Deep Rest' Yoga, Reiki and Somatic retreat is special for several reasons beyond just being surrounded by nature in Aljezur.

So in this week, we will give your nervous system the opportunity to slow down, to learn how to regulate, with that to understand yourself more and treat yourself with a more caring and lovable character. But with this retreat, we don’t just want to scratch on the surface, so that you can feel that strength right there in the space. No, we would like to give you instruments and strategies to strengthen your resilience, so that you also gain an idea of how to better deal with stressful situations at home. So let yourself sink into this warm, prepared, safe space to recover, rejuvenate and learn on a somatic level (not through the head, but through the body) how to integrate and become stronger after being part of this retreat.

In the heart of the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, surrounded by the vast beauty of the Atlantic coast and untouched landscapes, we gather to slow down, nourish, and restore. You will have enough space within the daily schedule to explore the beauty of this nature by biking, surfing, or hiking. It is a holistic approach, which is why we choose not to overload or overstructure the retreat, as this supports achieving a balanced nervous system. We will also include some silent parts in the retreat (not challenging for your system, but allowing enough space for yourself).

Our large farmhouse with a private entrance is perfectly made for a group of friends, solo travellers or couples. It accommodates two bedrooms, one spacious bathroom, a cozy living room with a wood stove, a diningroom, kitchen, a beautiful patio with barbecue.

Retreat Schedule

Our days include practices to soothe the nervous system, release stress, and build resilience. Through somatic explorations, Hatha-Vinyasa & somatic yoga, Reiki, sound healing, and Qi-Gong, we cultivate presence, safety, and inner connection. Guided by Heidi and Christina, with trauma-sensitive care and deep experience, this journey focuses on listening—to the body, breath, nervous system, and nature. We emphasize gentle arrival, time to feel at home, and mindful integration to extend the benefits into daily life. Participants are encouraged to arrive a day early and allow space after the retreat for smooth transition and healing.


  • Day 1 – Arrival & Grounding

    • Arrival from mid-afternoon: settle into the space and surroundings

    • Opening circle, introduction and land with a soft somatic exercise (4-5pm)

    • Gentle evening practice to arrive in body and spirit in the space (gentle yoga or yinyoga) 45 minutes, journaling and focus time 30mins

    • Nourishing vegetarian, Ayurvedic-inspired dinner

  • Day 2 – Slow Down

    • Morning practice: soft and grounding Reiki Drum Journey 

    • Brunch

    • Free time for nature, rest, or optional treatments (Reiki, Thai yoga massage) 

    • Evening session: calming & grounding Hatha-Yoga 

    • Integration time (journaling, silence, walk, etc.) 

    • Dinner

  • Day 3 – Building Presence

    • Morning practice: (somatic yoga flow)

    • Brunch

    • Midday exploration: nature walk, beach, or optional individual work

    • Evening session: Myofascial Release Yoga elements(Triggerpoint release)

    • Calming Breathwork Session

    • Integration time (journaling, silence, walk, etc.)

    • Dinner

  • Day 4 – Strengthening & Opening

    • Silent Morning: until after brunch time! 

    • Morning practice: silent walk 30mins & short Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga 45mins

    • Brunch

    • Spacious afternoon for surfing, rest, or bodywork

    • Qigong for Nervous System reset

    • Integration time (journaling, silence, walk, etc.)

    • Dinner

  • Day 5 – Resilience & Balance

    • Morning practice: integrating body and breath with somatic yoga

    • Brunch

    • Free time for nature immersion or treatments

    • Evening session: group practice with ritual elements (cacao, sound, Reiki, meditation)

    • Integration time (journaling, silence, walk, etc.)

    • Dinner

  • Day 6 – Integration

    • optional 2nd silent morning

    • Morning practice: strengthening Hatha-Yoga & Integrational somatic work 

    • Brunch

    • Closing circle with reflection and intention setting, giving integration instruments

Nourishment

Throughout the retreat, participants will be supported by wholesome Ayurvedic-inspired vegetarian meals prepared with care. Food is part of the practice – grounding, balancing, and deeply nourishing. 

Our retreat chef, Barbara, has worked at many retreats, and she brings with her knowledge and expertise in many different cooking styles, including Ayurvedic, Italian, and home baking. She will provide warm and nourishing food for the cooler months here in Portugal.

We also source local and natural ingredients and shop where we can at the local farmers market. Barbara makes her own bread and cakes, and we will also provide nourishing gluten-free options as well.

Heidi Miller is a dedicated Reiki Master, Reiki Drum Master, Breathwork facilitator, and Somatic Inquiry facilitator with thousands of hours of experience in the healing arts. With a profound passion for helping others, Heidi has spent years honing her skills and expanding her knowledge to create a safe, supportive environment for her clients and students. As a Reiki Master, Heidi combines traditional healing techniques with her unique insights, facilitating deep energetic shifts that promote healing on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.

Christina Winzeler - Yoga Teacher & Bodyworker

Christina comes from a background in psychiatric and clinical settings. With this and the combination of 6 years yoga teaching, enables her to hold group spaces with a strong sense of safety and presence. In her work as a bodyworker and yoga teacher, she is deeply committed to guiding you back to your inner voice, your body awareness, and your inner strength.

Christina creates mindful and trauma-sensitive spaces in her yoga offerings — whether in group classes, one-on-one sessions, or retreat settings. Her focus is always on exploring your inner world through the body (somatic work) — grounded and embodied rather than overly spiritual or concept-driven (a bottom-up approach instead of a purely rational one).

In the “Deep Rest” retreat, she will share yoga practices, guided meditations, and valuable insights about the nervous system and integration.
